Harold Cromwell Prints
Bring home a piece of Nova Scotian art and history with a fine art print by Harold Cromwell, featuring artwork from the collection of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
Born in the African Nova Scotian community of Weymouth Falls, Harold Cromwell was a prolific folk artist descended from Black Loyalists who settled in the area in 1783. He began drawing while recovering from wounds sustained during the Second World War, developing a lifelong passion that would span more than 50 years. Through his distinctive ink drawings, Cromwell captured memories, stories, and everyday experiences, offering a unique glimpse into Nova Scotia's working-class history, family life, and communities.
These museum-quality reproductions are produced locally using a 12-colour, water-based pigment inkjet printing process on 100% cotton rag fine art paper, each print offers exceptional detail and archival longevity.
