    LeRoy J. Zwicker (1906 - 1987)

    In 1937 Zwicker married artist Marguerite Porter and in 1942, after the death of his father, they took over the operation of Zwicker’s Art Store, the family’s art gallery and framing business. A familiar sight to Zwicker and all Halifax residents, this painting illustrates the snow-covered ornate main gates of the Halifax Public Gardens.
