Eveline is a resin artist based in the picturesque coastal town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick, Canada. Her creative journey began in 1996 while traveling the country in her VW van, experimenting with resin to make unique, playful accessories. During the 2020 lockdown, she rediscovered her passion, developing her signature resin ocean seascapes that capture the movement and beauty of the sea. Today, she creates each Ocean Board as a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art, bringing coastal elegance into homes across Canada and beyond.

Care Instructions

Here are some tips to keep your Ocean Board looking beautiful for a lifetime:

HAND WASH ONLY - NEVER SUBMERGE IN WATER. Wipe the board with a wrung dish cloth and store in a dry area.

The most important step is to oil your Ocean Board regularly, especially at first. If the wood gets wet, the grain might lift and feel rough. If this happens, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper (320–800 grit) and re-oil.

Optional: Remove stains and deodorize with baking soda. Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 tablespoon salt, and 3 tablespoons hot water. Scrub the board with the mixture, then wipe with a warm wet cloth and dry with a dish towel.

Optional: Clean with coarse salt and lemon. Dampen the board with a warm cloth, sprinkle coarse salt over it, and scour with half a lemon while squeezing out juice. Let sit for five minutes, scrub, and rinse.

Optional: Refurbish the wood. Marks and scratches add character over time, but if you want to refresh your board, sand with 150, then 180, then 240 (or 320) grit sandpaper. Wipe, let dry, and apply your favorite wood conditioner. Avoid sanding the resin.
