After marrying Everett Lewis in the 1930s, the pair continued to sell her paintings on trips throughout the countryside and from the front of their house. As Maud's health deteriorated, she rarely left their tiny one-room house, which served as her main canvas, where nearly every surface of the home’s interior was painted. Following Everett’s death, the house was acquired by the Province of Nova Scotia. It was restored and is now on permanent display at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.

This pewter ornament, custom made by Basic Spirit, captures the whimsy of Maud's painted house in a cherished keepsake. 5.2 cm x 5.2 cm.
