Woodrow was a captivating multimedia installation by artist Graeme Patterson that was exhibited by the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in 2007.

Discover the artist’s imaginative interpretation of the crumbling, iconic architecture of the small rural (and near-abandoned) town of Woodrow, Saskatchewan, where the artist resided and maintained a studio during the making of this project. Once a thriving community, where people raised families, earned a living, went to church, played hockey, and socialized with their neighbor, Woodrow today is a virtual ghost town - the results of the collapse of rural economies.

Get a glimpse of works that conjure these “ghosts” from the community’s past, infusing new life into its unspeakably sad demise.
