Daniel Borins and Jennifer Marman: Project for a New American Century

As the second half of this exhibition mimicked a formalist exhibition of the 1960s, as if actually produced then, I wanted my fiction here read as if it were written in the same period. So I created a biography for the writer. He was a fellow traveller of the 1950s and 1960s French new novelists and electronic composers such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, and his text was written in a comparable formal or notational style, as if the writer also was a researcher in cybernetics and semiotics at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris.
