Philip Doucette Studio - Hand Blown Glass Bracelets
Discover the beauty of handcrafted bracelets made in Halifax, Nova Scotia, featuring exquisite beads created by artist Philip Doucette. Sourced from various locations, including Venetian glass from the renowned Murano island in Italy, each bead is meticulously crafted by heating glass rods in a gas flame at temperatures between 850 and 950 degrees Celsius. After shaping, the beads are slowly cooled in a kiln to ensure durability.
The designs are inspired by notable Nova Scotian symbols: the vibrant Tulips evoke the works of folk artist Maud Lewis, the Tartan reflects the colors of Nova Scotia's official tartan, and the Lighthouse captures the essence of the province’s iconic coastal beacons.
With decades of experience in glass art, Philip Doucette brings his unique vision to life in his garden shed studio in Halifax's historic North End. Embrace the charm of Nova Scotia with these beautiful, handmade bracelets!
